Mariah, through the years.

I have always loved Mariah Carey, in my opinion she has the best worldwide voice. But althought she looks stunning at her early forties I think she should try to do something different in her videos, not just posing showing how beautiful and sexy she still is.

Anyway, she's cute, she's fresh and she has her own style, no matter what people think about her, she continues being herself and that's the most important.

Siempre me ha gustado Mariah Carey, en mi opinión tiene la mejor voz de todo el mundo. Pero auqnue está increíble a sus cuarenta y pocos años, creo que debería tratar de hacer algo diferente en sus videos, no sólo posar mostrando lo bonita y sexy que sigue siendo.

De todos modos, ella es linda, ella es dulce y tiene su propio estilo, no importa lo que la gente piense de ella, sigue siendo ella misma y eso es lo más importante.

Yesterday was the funeral of Whitney Houston. I liked her, I listened to her since I was a child, and it is really sad when you realize that the best voices are leaving this world. Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Etta James... and now Whitney.

You never know about the truth of their lives, they have been very controversial musicians and the press is always misinterpreting the reality.

But I don't care. I don't care about if they took drugs or not, if they had destructive relationships or whatever. I just love their music, and that's the saddest thing. We won't listen new material of them again.

By the way, I found these images of a Barbie doll inspired by Whitney and her song "I wanna dance with somebody".
I love the 80's style, so I love this doll, that song and its clip. When I see it, it really makes me want to dress up as a 80's girl and my mind evokes that time.(Even I didn't live it, I was a baby girl at that time) And I think Whitney looks gorgeous in the clip, fresh and cute as hell!!

Ayer fue el funeral de Whitney Houston. Me gustaba, la escuchaba desde que era niña, y es muy triste cuando te das cuenta de que las mejores voces están dejando este mundo. Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Etta James ... y ahora Whitney.

Nunca se sabe acerca de la verdad de sus vidas, han sido músicos muy controvertidos y la prensa siempre está malinterpretando la realidad.

Pero no me importa. No me importa si tomaron drogas o no, si tenían relaciones destructivas o lo que sea. Me encanta su música, y eso es lo más triste. No volveremos a escuchar nuevo material de ellos.

Por cierto, me encontré con estas imágenes de una muñeca Barbie inspirada en Whitney y su canción "I wanna dance with somebody".
Me encanta el estilo de los años 80, por lo que me encanta esta muñeca, esa canción y su video clip. Cuando lo veo, me dan realmente ganas de vestirme como una chica de los 80, y mi mente evoca ese momento. (Aunque yo no lo viví, era un bebé en ese momento) Y creo que Whitney está increíble en el clip, fresca y linda a rabiar!

Cuando era pequeña y adolescente muchas veces estube muy sola porque no tube los padres que cada niño debe tener... así que devorar libros y pasar mis días escuchando música fueron mi vía de escape.
Las canciones que me gustan siempre están relacionadas con un periodo de mi vida, una situación o acontecimiento que no puedo olvidar.
Por otra parte me gustan casi todos los tipos de música pero prefiero las canciones con significado, mensaje... sobre todo si me puedo sentir identificada con la letra.
Aquí hay algunos de mis CD's favoritos (y portadas) desde que era una adolescente. Por una cosa u otra estos CD's han significado mucho para mí. (Y hoy en día también)

When I was a child and a teenager a lot of times I was very lonely because I didn't have the parents who every child must have... so to devour books and spend my days listening music were my way out.
The songs that I like always are related to a period of my life, a situation or an event that I can't forget. On the other hand I like almost all types of music but I prefer songs with a meaning, a message... especially if I can feel me identified with the lyrics.
Here there are some of my favourite CD's (and covers) since I was a teenager. For one thing or another these CD's has been meaning a lot to me (and nowadays as well).
